I was extremely impressed with the MPS A320 project. It has all the makings of a very useful training device. It is a quantum leap from the current MFTD devices and with the visual projections it will allow for very realistic training without extensive Full Flight Simulation to complete A320 Type Rating or indeed for Recurrent. It would also accommodate for command training and instructor training since a full flight simulator (FFS) is not required for most of the training.

When I first flew the MPS B737 myself, I could not believe what was happening. The control loading and the level D visual gave me the feeling I was flying a Full Flight Simulator. This is a very impressive simulator that flies very accurate with a fantastic visual system. A great tool to use in any training environment.

I’m very pleased that Aviation Focus supply a simulator that meets the requirements of what is necessary in the industry. It is in essence a Level D simulator without motion. It allows the pilots to be trained using their muscle memory, getting a realistic feel for switches or even engine failures, at very little expense. The introduction of generic simulators was a step forward but these actual B737 and A320 devices allow for a seamless transition into type rating training. Fantastic! It should have been developed 20 years ago...

MPS simulators have served EPST so well that we have made the decision to buy a MPS built Airbus A-320. This A320 is being built on site at EPST in the Netherlands and will be fully operational in July 2012.
